About Devflow CMS

The Story

Many years ago, a small content management system was created based on the good parts of WordPress. It went through many iterations, and it was named TriTan CMS. When it was created, the need was for something more lightweight to create a simple blog. Over time, that initial project evolved through many iterations, growing larger, and more complex with each update.

The project halted due to not being able to devote time to the project. Nevertheless, the idea of bringing it back, but in a different way, was always on the table if and when time permits.

After the development of the CodefyPHP Framework, it became a great foundation for building something different and unique around the philosophy of Domain-Driven Design. The wheels were starting to turn with an updated database schema, architecture, and mission. Also, it would be developer-centric, giving PHP Architects something that allows freedom and flexibility to build the way they want to.

Instead of a typical content management system, the idea was to build a content management framework on top of a solid framework. Furthermore, instead of building a system around a binary structure of posts vs. pages, the system needed to be more flexible than that. Content goes beyond a binary structure, so instead of shipping a system with either one, developers have the freedom to create the content types that are needed.

Content-first with a secure foundation is the idea that Devflow CMS was conceived from. PHP Architects have the freedom to create dynamic content, static content, and/or hand code too since Devflow CMS is a true framework.
